Instructions
- Prepare baking sheets:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix dry ingredients:
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar:
- Beat butter and granulated sugar with mixer until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add egg and vanilla:
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- Form dough:
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients, scraping bowl as needed, until a soft dough forms.
- Chill dough:
- Divide dough in half, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Shape cookies:
